The Kidder Group has a very defined niche in the marketplace. We represent clients who are proven leaders in their industry; they are strong financially, have a management team who leads by example, and insist on an engaged and passionate work force. The company must be committed to excellence, set World Class Standards, and believe in Continuous Process Improvement as a way of life. These clients are true believers that the top performers will out-produce average performers by as much as ten fold.
We recruit candidates who are either seasoned executives in manufacturing or technically superior engineers and managers. These people are in the top 20% of their peer group, and we define this by past accomplishments with quantifiable achievements and long discussions about their philosophy of management and leadership.
At the Kidder Group, we think our past successes are probably the best indicators of our future success. Here's a brief summary of our recent successes:
Accounting and Financial Management
We have a long history of success and have placed professionals with a strong background in accounting and finance up to the Chief Financial Officer level.
Engineering
In engineering, the list of engineers is almost endless, and we have placed literally hundreds of engineers and management in the fields of Quality, Process Engineering, Controls, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering across a wide spectrum of disciplines, Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Project Management, R&D, Reliability Engineering, and Sales Engineering.
Management
One of our specialties is Manufacturing Management, where we have placed some of the strongest leaders from Manufacturing Supervisors up to Vice President and Chief Operating Officers. The results are impressive. One young Supervisor increased production from 35 pcs/hr to 55 pcs/hr in less than two months on the job and simultaneously reduced scrap from 5% to 1%. Another close friend turned a plant around from a $900K/month loss to a $200K/month profit in just nine months; in addition, the plant went from 168 hours per week to 40 per hours week and cut the number of employees in half yet doubled the output. Yes, a strong leader with a clear vision is essential to grow a company.
Supply Chain Management
Another area of specialization is Supply Chain Management, which includes purchasing, logistics, and production control, where we have placed people from Production Control Clerks up to the Vice President of Supply Chain Management.
Human Resources
We recently conducted a search for a Vice President in the field of Human Resources, and we know the difference between an HR executive who has earned a seat at the “Table” compared to a bureaucratic paper shuffler who cannot make a decision. A great leader knows that there is always room on the team for one more “A Player.”
Sales
One of our proudest accomplishments was simultaneously placing a Sales Engineer, Sales Director, and Vice President of Sales with the same client in the same day. All candidates accepted their offer in less than a two-hour period. In a nutshell, we are very comfortable distinguishing experts in the field of Sales and Marketing from those candidates who pretend to be good. In sales, the results speak for themselves.
IT/MIS
In the field of Information Technology/Management Information Systems, we recently placed a very high profile Chief Technology Officer with previous experience as Director at a Fortune 30 company.

“We consider ourselves to be Craftsmen in the field of recruiting. In order to restore an antique automobile, it takes a skilled Craftsman who works effectively and has long-term dedication and an inborn ability to know how pieces fit together. These are traits that are similar in an outstanding consultant. At The Kidder Group, we strive to ensure that all the pieces of your career fit together in a smooth and orderly manner.”
